This 'Memories of Summer' challenge was submitted by Barb Ames from Iowa, USA. Before completing this challenge, Barb had only done iris folding one time. But she said that when she saw the lighthouse, dolphin, and sunset, she couldn't resist attempting the challenge. She stated that she was amazed at how well it came out.
She completed hers on a 16X20 inch background which was done using torn paper. After doing the lighthouse with a theme of red, white and blue in mind, she was very happy with the way it came out so stuck with the same colors for the boat, towel, and umbrella.
She added that this was a major challenge for her because she is so new to iris folding. It ended up taking her about 25 hours to complete but she says that it was well worth it. She is looking forward to doing more challenges in the future.
